The North Brookhaven Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society!
Meet the "Harbormen." We are the singing chorus of the North Brookhaven Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We sing in the barbershop style - four part a-capella harmony, that is without instrumental accompaniment. A barbershop chorus is the same as a quartet only with more voices. The parts comprise; the "lead," who sings the familiar melody of a song, the "tenor" comparable to the high alto is sung above the lead, the "bass" sings the low notes below the lead, and the "baritone" provides those in-between notes that produces the distinctive sound of barbershop harmony.
Our Mission Statement
To encourage and perpetuate the spirit of barbershop music, good fellowship and fun for everyone through singing accurate and amiable harmony chords together with charitable presentations throughout the community.

At present, our web site is still under construction. We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of offers as soon as possible. The emphasis of our site is on the joy of hearing and singing the ringing sounds of four part harmony . Check this site later, please.

In the meantime you can reach Herb Mordkoff, our Community Relations Officer, at (631) 928-4373 . We are looking forward to hearing from you. You can also contact us at our e-mail address: [insert e-mail address].
